La Sirena NYC02/25/16 - La Sirena, Mario Batali's latest venture was open just 2 weeks when Shelly and I had dinner here. (We actually saw him this night). We ordered homemade burata, pasta & short ribs, and braccole. Everything was fresh and yummy. Burata wasn't as creamy as it could have been but it was tasty. Although we really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere, I don't know that I need to go back.

Balthazar, NYC02/26/16 - Every year Shelly and I go to Balthazar for brunch and every year they do not disappoint!!! The best breakfast I've ever had! I always get the scrambled eggs in puff pastry and it's off the charts awesome!!! Shelly got an herb omelet that was a do-over as well. You have to have reservations as this place is packed all the time! An NYC treasure!

By Chloe, NYC02/26/16 - By Chloe is OFF THE CHARTS AMAZING!!!! THE GUAC BURGER IS TO DIE FOR!! Not being a vegetarian, I was skeptical to try this but the place got such rave reviews and the line is always out the door. They were featured on "The Chew" the day we were there. I tried to recreate this using The Tasting Table's recipe and it was a flop. Better to let Chloe make the guac burger! THIS IS DEFINITELY A DO-OVER!!

The Spotted Pig, NYC2/26/16 - The Spotted Pig is such a hot spot that they do not take reservations and there is a 2 hour wait. That being said, THERE IS A 2 HOUR WAIT!! Service was bad, like you are dying of thirst and are ready to chew on the table bad! Because of this, I would never return. However, THEIR HAMBURGER & STRAW FRIES ARE UNFREAKINREAL!! It is clearly prime meat used in the burger....it rendered me speechless. Their straw fries are so incredibly yummy you don't mind that they are really difficult to eat. It is a Michelin Star Winner but I think the place is being overshot just a bit.

Seamore's, NYC2/27/16 - THIS WAS A PLEASANT SURPRISE!!! It is lovely little cafe on the corner across from Little Italy. We stopped here for lunch and we each ordered fish tacos (one blackened and one crispy). The crispy is photoed but I wouldn't recommend it. The blackened tacos were rocking!!! I recreated them, as well. Seamore's atmosphere is so sweet that it makes Instagramming a must (they actually designed the place with that in mind). Lovely do-over must.
